The annual National Lentil Festival returns to the streets and parks of downtown Pullman this Friday and Saturday.
The festival, co-sponsored by Washington State University, highlights the little legume of the Palouse, while also celebrating the farmers, workers and agricultural industries that make farming on the Palouse possible.
The ever-popular festival highlights many activities, including:
- More than 350 gallons of Lentil Chili, free while it lasts from 5 p.m.–8 p.m. Friday.
- Live music in Reaney Park and Spring St. all weekend.
- National Lentil Festival Parade, 11 a.m. Saturday.
- Live cooking demos in Reaney Park all day Saturday.
- A fun run.
- Tour de Lentil Bike Ride.
- 3-on-3 basketball.
- Beer and wine garden.
- Games for kids.
