National Girls and Women in Sports Day

Washington State University Athletics will host its annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day, Sunday, February 11, at Bohler Gym. The event is scheduled for 10 – 11:30 a.m. with check in beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The free clinic is open to all kids in kindergarten through eighth grade. The clinic will include instruction and skill development and participants will have the opportunity to meet WSU student-athletes and coaches. Kids will have the opportunity to learn and develop sports skills with different teams. Every kid will rotate between different teams from both men’s and women’s athletics during the clinic.

After the clinic, kids and student-athletes will march to Beasley Coliseum to enjoy a variety of snacks on the concourse before women’s basketball takes on Oregon at 1 p.m. All participating kids will come onto the court to make a tunnel for the team when they run on the court for the game.
