Introduction to Olympic weightlifting

Build your workout routine with a tried and true lifting program! Olympic weightlifting is designed to not only build mass, but also strength and flexibility. During this introduction clinic, you will be introduced to legendary lifting movements such as snatch, the clean and the jerk press. To truly ensure your lifting technique is correct this course will not utilize weights, but PVC pipes to train the fundamental motions of these lifts. Once your technique is flawless and effective, these motions can be transferred to the weightlifting platform.

With hands on demonstrations and instruction by a Level 1 USA Weightlifting club coach, patrons will gain one-on-one experience with a professional. Take your lifting to new levels on March 2 in SRC Room 144 from 6-7 p.m. This course is FREE for all SRC members!
