Organic farming addressed

Bob Scowcroft, executive director of the Organic Farming Research Foundation, will speak on “From Policy to Research: The Current State of Organic Farming in the U.S.” at 1:10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, in Room T-101 of the Food Science and Human Nutrition Building at Washington State University.

The Organic Farming Research Foundation, a national organization based in Santa Cruz, Calif., foster’s the improvement and widespread adoption of organic farming practices.  Since 1990, OFRF has awarded more than $1.4 million to support 224 organic research and education projects.

Scowcroft’s seminar is being sponsored by WSU’s department of crop and soil sciences.
