A WSU alumnus and his inventions – Bacon Salt and bacon mayonnaise – were featured on the ABC-TV news program with Charles Gibson Tuesday night.
Alumnus Justin Esch co-founded J & D’s Foods. Alumni Beau Guthrie, chef, and Reilly Devine, sales, also have worked for the company.
The video clip from the news program includes a quick glimpse of WSU football coach Paul Wulff being interviewed – with someone from J & D’s in a bacon costume advertising in the background.

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University head football coach Paul Wulff has announced the following student-athletes have signed a national letter-of-intent and will enroll at WSU this fall:

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner at Ingraham High School…led Metro League in receiving as a JUNIOR…hauled in 52 receptions for 952 yards and 12 touchdowns…named first-team All-Metro Sound Division…named a Seattle Times White Chip prospect following his SENIOR campaign…posted 34 receptions for 828 yards and three touchdowns…two-way player was named first-team All-Metro Sound Division as both a wide receiver and defensive back.

PULLMAN — WSU Director of Athletics Jim Sterk Tuesday named Eastern Washington University coach Paul Wulff as the new head football coach of the Cougars. Wulff becomes WSU’s 31st head coach and the first WSU football letterwinner and graduate to lead the Cougars since Phil Sarboe served as head coach from 1945-49.
