SPOKANE, Wash. – Richard Okita, a program director with the National Institutes of Health National Institute of General Medical Sciences, will present the 2018 Allen I. White Lecture at noon Tuesday, March 13, in the Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences Building Walgreens Auditorium on the WSU Spokane campus.

WSU researchers deliver first “nanotherapeutics” to tumor

SPOKANE, Wash. – For the first time, WSU researchers have demonstrated a way to deliver a drug to a tumor by attaching it to a blood cell. The innovation could let doctors target tumors with anticancer drugs that might otherwise damage healthy tissues.
