PULLMAN – Chris Bruce has been recognized as the Northwest Curator of the Year by art critic Regina Hackett of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
Bruce said, “This is a terrific acknowledgement of the Museum of Art/WSU, for these exhibitions are not ‘my exhibits’ – they are the product of a dedicated and talented professional staff. Without the commitment to the art of our time and region by individuals like Curator Keith Wells and Associate Director Anna Maria Shannon, they simply would not happen.”

PULLMAN – The Museum of Art at WSU will exhibit “Running the Numbers” by Chris Jordan. The exhibition opens Wednesday, Jan. 14 and runs through Saturday, April 4.
Jordan will lecture on his work at 7 p.m. Jan. 22 in the Compton Union Building Auditorium. A special lecture with environmentalist Paul Hawken will take place at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 in the Compton Union Building Auditorium.

RICHLAND — Graduates of the WSU Tri-Cities College of Nursing will be recognized at Convocation, a special pinning and candlelight ceremony, at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Battelle Auditorium, 904 Battelle Blvd., Richland.
Convocation is a thoughtful occasion where faculty, staff, medical professionals and students’ family members celebrate the hard work and special relationships of the 28 members of the Fall 2008 graduating class. Of those, 21 are earning Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees, one is completing the Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science program, and six are earning Master of Nursing degrees.
