Indigenous Peoples Day is being celebrated on WSU campuses Oct. 11 with several events including a film screening and an address from a prominent Native American author and poet.
Events kick off at 12:10 p.m. with a lecture by Robert Miller, a professor at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.
WSU is commemorating its second annual Indigenous People’s Day on Oct. 14 with cultural festivities including traditional dance and the set up of a tipi by Native American Programs on the Pullman campus.
Indigenous Peoples Day recognizes and celebrates the contributions of Native Americans to our culture, region and nation.
