MEDIA ADVISORY: WSU President Schulz to give State of the University address March 26

PULLMAN, Wash. – Kirk H. Schulz, president of Washington State University, will deliver his third State of the University address to faculty, staff, students and community members at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, in Bryan Hall Theatre on the Pullman campus. Q&A and a public reception will follow.

The address will be available by videostream on YouTube. More information about the 2019 State of the University address can be found at the State of the University webpage.

Media Parking:

Media with WSU Media Parking Permits and permanently marked media vehicles can park in any green, yellow, red, and blue lots, and metered parking zones.

The WSU Pullman parking map can be viewed online.

Please note: Media vehicles are not allowed to park on Veterans Mall or Library Mall.

If media vehicles are unmarked and do not have a WSU Media Permit, daily parking permits are available for purchase at the WSU Visitor Center, 150 E Spring Street, or at WSU Transportation Services, 1040 NE Colorado St.

Equipment and streaming:

Due to Bryan Hall Theatre space limitations and ADA access requirements, media with tripods are only allowed in the lower‑floor central auditorium reserved area. Please be set‑up by 2:50 p.m. Tripods will need to be able to set up over a row of chairs on a downward slope. An audio box will be provided for plugging camera audio into.

Individual streaming of the address is not advised due to wireless network connectivity limitations in Bryan Hall Theatre. News outlets interested in streaming the address are encouraged to link and embed the WSU stream.
