Wednesday is the final day Washington State University will accept central graphic design service and printing projects.

The university announced in August that central graphic design services would be discontinued on Oct. 31, with new projects needing to be submitted by Oct. 15. The cuts were made as part of broader system-wide reductions amid significant funding cuts at the state and federal level.

CougPrints Plus will remain open for business, however, continuing its normal services with the addition of stationery, business cards, and some wide-format printing.

A list of vendors approved for use above the direct buy limit of $10,000 is now available for those requiring services previous provided by Design and Printing Services.

WSU is running a Request for Qualifications and Quotations process to build an index of vendors offering design, printing and copy-editing services. Once that process is completed, the website will be updated and a follow up WSU Insider piece will be published.

For vendor recommendations for design, printing and copy-editing projects under $10,000, please contact Ed Sala via email.

WSU is assessing tools to use for HTML email design and sends. Until a new process is identified, please contact David Feston via email to use this service.
