Poet, writer, and educator Tyree Daye to kick off WSU Visiting Writers Series on March 4

Award-winning poet Tyree Daye will read from his work at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at the Chinook Student Center, Room 150, as a guest of the WSU Visiting Writers Series, a system-wide offering of creative readings, class visits, workshops, and collaborative exchanges across intellectual and artistic disciplines.

Tyree Daye is the recipient of a Whiting Writers Award, a Kate Tufts Award finalist, and many other recognitions. He is also the author of A Little Bump in the Earth (Copper Canyon Press, 2024), Cardinal (Copper Canyon Press, 2020), and River Hymns (American Poetry Review, 2017). The in-person reading will also be livestreamed via the VWS YouTube channel.
