State of the University address Tuesday

This year's State of the University address will begin at 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, at the WSU Spokane campus. A livestream of the event will also be available.

Washington State University President Kirk Schulz will deliver this year’s State of the University address tomorrow afternoon.

The event will begin at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday with an introduction from WSU Spokane Chancellor and Executive Vice President of Health Sciences Daryll DeWald. During his address, Schulz will speak on the university’s access mission as well as some of the challenges and opportunities facing the university in the years to come.

A Q&A session with items submitted from the university community will take place following Schulz’s comments.

The entire event will be available to watch live via the Experience WSU website.

State of the University is among several events taking place this week as part of Showcase, the annual event honoring the academic achievements of the WSU community. More information about Showcase is available on the program’s website.

WSU awards nine junior faculty with seed funding

The Office of Research has awarded nine faculty with the 2024 New Faculty Seed Grant. The grant program supports junior faculty in developing research and scholarly or creative programs that lead to sustained professional development and external funding.
