Learn about WSU Libraries’ special collections

Washington State University Archivist Mark O’English will show some of the most interesting documents in the WSU Manuscripts, Archives and Special Collection at the WSU Retirees Association March 29 program on Zoom.

During the 1:30 p.m. program retirees and friends will be able to view some of the items and learn about other interesting things one can find in archives.

O’English has been instrumental in leading efforts to provide online access to historic films at the WSU Libraries and meeting faculty expectations of library websites. He joined the WSU Libraries in 2000 and became WSU Archivist in 2008.

The Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC), located on Terrell Library’s ground floor, acquires and preserves rare and unique items related to Washington State University and the Pacific Northwest.

MASC has historical records and documents, such as manuscripts, photographs, audio and video tapes, films, books, maps and other printed and published materials.

The university archives include WSU theses and dissertations, yearbooks, student newspapers, and other documents from WSU presidents, employees, departments, and colleges.

To join the program, go to the WSURA website and register. There is no fee and the public is welcome.
