Mileage reimbursements to increase

WSU employees who use their personal vehicles for work will be getting a bit more in mileage reimbursements with the latest revision to the Business Policies and Procedures Manual.

As part of the Jan. 14 revisions, the reimbursement rate for motor vehicles went from $0.56 to $0.585 per mile. Small increases were also made for privately-owned aircraft and motorcycles.

These changes come as a result of adjustments made by the Washington Office of Financial Management to the State Administrative and Accounting Manual.

The maximum reimbursement rate is set by the U.S. Treasury Department, which increased the rate as of Jan. 1.

The latest revisions to the BPPM also include changes to departmental requisitions and courier services, among others.

Last month, a long-awaited change to the Academic Media and Technology Services policy was made that added new information on available academic media and technology services at each campus across the WSU system.

All revisions made to university manuals dating back to when records were made available online in 1997 can be search and reviewed on the Office of Procedures, Records, and Forms website
