As part of a resolution with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, the Washington State University Office for Equal Opportunity (OEO) has revised some of its internal procedural guidelines.

The revisions provide further clarification on OEO processes for all participants. Specifically, sections have been added to clarify the rights and responsibilities of the respondents. Additional changes include updates to interim measures, resolution paths, and notices.

No substantive changes in OEO processes were made.

The complete procedural guidelines can be found at the OEO website, which also includes a section for reporting concerns and filing complaints.

WSU’s Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Misconduct also is available online.
