Finalists named in search for director of Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art

Provost Dan Bernardo has named Robin Held and Paul Baker Prindle finalists for the director position at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at Washington State University.

The announcement represents the results of a comprehensive national search and interview process by Bernardo and a university search advisory committee.

Held will meet with faculty, staff, students and administrators April 30 at WSU, with a public presentation scheduled for 9:15-10:15 a.m. in the Compton Union Building (CUB) Jr. Ballroom.

Baker Prindle will meet with WSU faculty, staff, students and administrators May 1, with a public presentation scheduled for 9:15-10:15 a.m. in the CUB Jr. Ballroom.

The WSU community is invited to the public presentations, in which the candidates will outline their respective visions for the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. Each presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session. More information regarding the public presentations can be found on the Office of the Provost executive search website.

Robin Held is currently principal of RH Consulting and previously served as curator, collection strategist, and head of department for two accredited American Alliance of Museum Institutions—the Frye Art Museum in Seattle and the Henry Art Gallery at the University of Washington. She earned her M.A. in the History of Art from the University of Washington and has completed coursework toward a PhD in Art History from the University of Washington.

Baker Prindle is currently director of University Galleries, the museum of art at the University of Nevada. He previously served as director of the Edgewood College Gallery in Madison, Wisc. He earned his MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a continuing student in non-profit management at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
