WSU Vancouver fall course scheduling changes coming

Course scheduling is changing in fall 2018 in response to student and faculty requests. The schedule was designed with student success in mind, while allowing faculty more flexibility to balance teaching, research and service.

This fall classes will be scheduled as follows:

  • Monday/Wednesday/Friday in 50-minute blocks
  • Monday/Wednesday, Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday in 75-minute blocks
  • Monday or Friday in 150-minute blocks

The newest schedule feature is a No Class Hour from 1 to 2 p.m. Fridays to support event attendance, club meetings and study sessions.

These recommendations were brought forward last May by the Course Scheduling Task Force and were approved by campus leadership. If you have questions about the work of the task force, read the report online or contact task force leader June Canty or Campus Registrar Mary Pat Dutton.
