WSU Vancouver has two new exhibits on display through April 13.
The Dengerink Administration Building Gallery is featuring “In(tension)” by Victoria Moon, who graduated in December with a double major in social science and fine arts.
Her work portrays the anxiety caused by life’s pulsing moments. Her painted and printed works represent uneasy feelings.
“Zoned Out” by Taylor Turner is on display in the Science and Engineering Building Gallery.
Turner is a visual artist from Vancouver. He attended WSU Vancouver and transferred to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
His exhibit features drawings created over the two and a half years after his college graduation. What began as mindless line doodles on notebook paper quickly developed into a process that was fueled by a reflective state of mind.
Abstract forms grow slowly out of repetitive mark making, and each piece yields a meditative effect on the artist from its creation.
