Dinner/auction benefits viticulture and enology

Graduate and undergraduate scholarships, as well as student academic exchange programs, will be the chief beneficiaries of the ninth annual “Celebrate Washington Wine” gala benefit for WSU’s Viticulture and Enology Program.

Some new features for the annual black tie dinner and auction will include an online auction and an opportunity to test your luck with a wine “grab bag.” Grab bag participants will pay a flat fee to select an anonymous bottle. A “grab” might net a nice $25 bottle of wine – or a hard-to-find $100 bottle!

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville, Wash. Tickets cost $250 per person, or $2,500 for a table of 10. The event has sold out in past years, so make reservations early.
