Deadline Extended for Power of One Conference Proposals

PULMAN, Wash.–The hosting committee for the 2010 Power of One Conference invites students, faculty, staff, and community members to submit program proposals and moved its deadline to Jan. 8 to accommodate people’s busy holiday schedules.

This year’s conference theme is “Honoring our Roots and Sustaining our Legacy” through which student leadership within the GLBT community will be explored.

The conference is scheduled to take place April 2-4 on both the Washington State University and University of Idaho campuses.   Both universities are official conference sponsors with support from the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Region V.

Students and professionals are encouraged to submit for 60 minute sessions in the categories of ally development, gender, health and wellness, social justice, leadership, and creative arts.
