Common Reading poster presentations, lectures set

PULLMAN – Common Reading-related events scheduled for this week include:
 

Wednesday, 12:10 p.m., “China’s Ability to Feed itself in the Long Term: Myths and Realities,” by James Simpson, IMPACT Center, Todd 130. Simpson will present a 30-minute slide show followed by a 15-minute Q&A period on food issues in contemporary China.

Thursday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., GenEd 104 Research Poster Exposition, CUB senior ballroom. This semester, 360 freshmen enrolled in GenEd 104, Pathways to Academic Student Success (PASS) Seminar have done library research projects on topics related to the book “The Omnivore’s Dilemma.” Student groups will be sharing their findings through poster presentations.
