Tours planned of Olympia Avenue residence hall

PULLMAN – WSU’s newest residence hall will be dedicated at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at 1620 SE Olympia Ave. across from Rogers-Orton Playfield.

An environmentally responsible building, Olympia Avenue is the first residence hall built on the Pullman campus since 1971.

It offers a wide variety of student-living options in a “green” environment. Innovative construction and landscaping strategies include geothermal heating and cooling, natural lighting, water-efficient irrigation and recycled materials.

President Elson S. Floyd and others will join in the university-community celebration. Building tours and a reception will follow the program.
