WSU earns statewide runner-up honor

Seattle Business magazine recently honored 20 Washington companies and organizations with green awards.
 
WSU was a runner-up in the Academic & Health Care category for its systemwide program to reduce waste.
 
“The deep commitment the people of Washington have to their natural surroundings gives the state a unique opportunity to develop a new model for sustainable growth,” said Jay Manning, director of the Washington State Department of Ecology.
