PULLMAN – In honor of Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, Sept. 17 in the nation, representatives of the WSU’s Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service (above) handed out free copies of the U.S. Constitution on Terrell Mall.

Constitution Day was established by the U.S. Congress in 2005 in an effort to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787, and to encourage citizens and students to familiarize themselves with the nation’s founding document.

Also in honor of the event, Terrell Library has posted an exhibit in the Atrium, Sept. 14-25, Free copies of the Constitution and the booklet, Our American Government, will be available in the exhibit area on Sept. 17.
