
PULLMAN WSU’s International Business Program in the College of Business was ranked No. 20 in the nation for its undergraduate program in this year’s U.S. News & World Report rankings. The ranking is based on nominations from business school deans and directors of accredited master’s programs from the surveyed schools.
WSU International Business majors are require to complete at least one year of foreign language study and participate in a study abroad program. Additionally, all College of Business students are encouraged to participate in foreign study programs as part of the college’s Global Learning Requirement.
College of Business faculty-led study abroad summer programs are offered in Greece, Italy, and Thailand, and semester-long programs are offered in Brig, Switzerland, and Chengdu, China. Business students can also attend study abroad programs with third party providers or exchange programs with partner schools around the world.

Faculty-led programs allow students to learn from WSU professors while attending WSU courses taught abroad. More than 75 percent of WSU faculty in the International Business program have international experience working, traveling, and teaching in their field.
“International Business is a major focus of our college in order to prepare students to work and research in a new global economy. We’re very proud of the programs and opportunities we offer in the classroom and around the world,” said Dr. David Sprott, associate dean for Graduate, International and Professional Programs in Business.
The WSU College of Business opened its China Center last year at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) in Chengdu, China, giving students and professors opportunities for exchange and research in a variety of fields. Beginning spring 2010, a semester-long faculty-led program will be offered at the center.
