Reporting party in final allegation recants

PULLMAN – The reporting party in an assault alleged to have occurred in the early morning hours of Aug. 24 on the Pullman campus recanted her allegations during an interview at the WSU Police Department Monday night.
The reporting party in two other assaults, alleged to have occurred Aug. 19 and on the evening of Aug. 24 on the Pullman campus, earlier had recanted her allegations.
The $5,000 contributed by President Elson S. Floyd as a reward in this matter will be maintained in a campus safety fund to be co-administered by the WSU Police and Women’s Resource Center for any future rewards.
