PULLMAN – The WSU Police Department annually conducts intern training during the week before the start of fall semester.

In these photos, a new intern practices skills in traffic control, one of about 15 topics covered in the week-long academy. Training includes early-morning physical workouts and afternoon and evening classes.

The intern program is a cooperative effort between the WSU Criminal Justice Program and local law enforcement agencies. Volunteer interns can receive academic credit.
Students interested in a law enforcement-related career gain valuable knowledge and experience while contributing to the community.
