PULLMAN – A woman has reported that she was assaulted by a white male on Troy Lane near the Smith CUE on the WSU campus between 12:10 and 12:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24. She escaped and called the police.
She reported that she thought the man followed her from the Terrell Mall area where she saw him sitting on a bench.
The suspect is described as a white male about 5’9″ tall, stocky build, wearing red shorts and a hooded sweatshirt with a zipper.
The description and general circumstances of the assault are similar to an assault on campus on Aug. 19 (see earlier article here).
WSU police remind staff, faculty and students to be vigilant and aware of surroundings at all times. Police encourage those on campus to not walk alone and to stay in well-lighted areas and use safe means of transportation whenever possible.
Anyone with information about this assailant is asked to call police at 335-8548 … or 9-1-1 if it is an emergency.
