Applied research eligible for grant money

The Washington Technology Center (WTC) competitively awards about $1 million per year to help move innovative ideas out of the laboratory and into the commercial marketplace.

An information session about grant requirements, proposal deadlines, company partnerships and more will be 11 a.m.-noon Thursday, Aug. 27, in Neill 416 and via videoconference to regional campuses and research/extension centers upon request.

Funding goes to applied research projects that show strong potential for generating long-term economic impact in the state. Universities can leverage this funding to increase their industry connections and company-specific research activities.

Research activities funded include: Proof of concept, research prototyping, technical feasibility  and testing.

Register here. Locations outside Pullman may e-mail Pam Kelley at pjkelley@wsu.edu to request a videoconference connection.
