Orientation videoconference set for Aug. 27

Employee safety orientation is the topic of a videoconferenced session that WSU will offer at 1:30-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27.

It is sponsored by WSU Environmental Health and Safety, which assists the university in providing information essential to all faculty and staff. The session will fulfill several federal-, state- and WSU-mandated requirements for introductory employee safety training.

Topics will include safety awareness, injury prevention, incident reporting, personal protective clothing and equipment, back safety, electrical safety, ergonomics, slips and falls, environmental concerns, hazardous waste and chemical hazard communication.
