Glover named interim chief of Attorney General’s Office


 

PULLMAN – Senior Counsel Sylvia Glover has been selected to serve as interim chief of the WSU Division of the Office of the Attorney General
effective Sept. 1.
 
Glover will succeed Antoinette (Toni) Ursich, who has served as WSU division chief for the past 12 years and was recently named chief of the Spokane Division by State Attorney General Rob McKenna.


 


Glover has been an assistant attorney general since 1989. She has represented the Department of Social and Health Services Section of the Spokane Division, where she also served as a team leader with responsibility for caseload and for training, consultation and supervision of attorneys. Glover also worked several years in the Tort Claims Division, representing state agencies and individuals in litigation. She has represented WSU since 2002.


 


Glover graduated magna cum laude from the Gonzaga University School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Washington. She also worked previously as a judicial clerk and in private practice.


 


A frequent presenter at legal and veterinary educational seminars, she has partnered with WSU faculty to present on topics relevant to “animal law” at conferences internationally, published on that topic and worked at the University of Washington Law School as a lecturer in animal law. Glover is co-chair of the Office of the Attorney General Writing Committee and a member of its Electronic Discovery Workgroup.
