Annual workshop to focus on ‘Be Efficient. Be Effective’

 
 
PULLMAN – The fourth annual Managing in Cougar Country conference is scheduled for 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at WSU Pullman. Managers and supervisors are invited to engage in a variety of workshops focusing on the conference theme “Be Efficient. Be Effective.”

President Elson S. Floyd will provide opening comments for the conference at 8:45 a.m.  Morning presentations will feature John Fraire, vice president for enrollment management, and Craig Parks, professor of psychology. 

Workshops allow participants to select from topics including change management, communication, and best practices in administrative support, training and computer management. Among the speakers leading these sessions will be Donald Nelson, professor in animal sciences, Melynda Huskey, assistant vice president for the Division of Student Affairs, Equity and Diversity, Heather Lopez, director of the Office of Internal Audit, and Julia Pomerenk, WSU registrar.
