A Crimson Legacy of Leadership

Washington State University alumni and friends joined President Elson S. Floyd at the Crimson Legacy of Leadership dinner at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle on Thursday, June 25, to honor  presidents emeriti Glenn Terrell, Samuel H. Smith, and V. Lane Rawlins.

It was an historic event in the life of Washington State University.

Throughout the tenures of Presidents Terrell, Smith and Rawlins, each worked passionately to improve student access, student diversity, and private support for student achievement.  On this evening in honor of their tremendous legacy, the WSU Foundation kicked off the Crimson Challenge to support student scholarships.

WSU President Elson S. Floyd has designated $2 million of WSU’s budget to match, dollar for dollar, every contribution raised during the Crimson Challenge.
