Keyboard camp features renowned pianist

 
 
PULLMAN – World-renowned pianist Corey Hamm will be featured as part of WSU’s Summer Keyboard Explorations camp. The camp enables middle school and high school students to study piano with WSU faculty and guest instructors.
 
Hamm is an assistant professor of piano and chamber music at the University of British Columbia.
 
Hamm also will perform a piece titled “The People United Will Never be Defeated” composed by Frederic Rzewski. He has performed the hour-long piece across the globe in Singapore, Hong Kong and all over North America.
 
The concert will begin 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at Kimbrough Concert Hall on the campus of WSU.  The performance is free of charge and is open to the public. For more information, please contact Sandra Albers at 509-335-4148 or at sandra_albers@wsu.edu
