Solstice Quartet with special guest Pianist Gerald Berthaiume presents summer concert

Pullman — The WSU Solstice Wind Quartet plus piano will present a special summer concert at the WSU Art Museum at 2:00 pm on Saturday afternoon, June 6th. The concert is free of charge and the public is invited to enjoy music and art in an informal setting.

The Solstice Quartet features flutist Ann Marie Yasinitsky, flute; Shannon Scott, clarinet; Jennifer Scriggins Brummett, horn; and Ryan Hare, bassoon–all WSU School of Music faculty members.

Solstice has presented hundreds of concerts throughout the Pacific Northwest including performances on prestigious chamber music Series and conferences. Gerald Berthiaume, distinguished pianist and Director of the School of Music at WSU will join Solstice for the delightful and exuberant Quintet by Rimsky-Korsakov and the the charming “Dolly Suite”
by Faure. Other works on the program include Beethoven’s Variations on Mozart’s operatic theme, “La ci darem la mano”, from Don Giovanni and Three Pieces for flute, clarinet and bassoon by American composer Walter Piston.
