Board of Regents holds special meeting

PULLMAN  — The Board of Regents of WSU will hold a special meeting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, in Lighty Student Services, Room 405, on the WSU Pullman campus.

The regents will participate in this meeting via teleconference. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the university’s biennial budget, which has been approved by the Washington Legislature, and the tuition increase upon which it was based. A brief discussion regarding the election of officers for the forthcoming year may also occur.

The board will take no formal action on the budget, tuition or the election of officers at this meeting.

University leaders plan to release their preliminary budget plan for the upcoming biennium Friday (May 1). The regents are scheduled to approve tuition rates for the upcoming biennium at their next regular meeting, to be held May 8 at WSU Spokane.
