Two WSU budget forums for committee report, questions

PULLMAN — Two public university budget forums will be held on Tuesday, March 31, in the Compton CUB Auditorium.

WSU faculty, staff and students will have a chance to learn about the progress of the University Budget Committee and ask questions at the sessions, noon-1 p.m. and 5-6 p.m., in the CUB auditorium.

Anyone wishing to submit a question in advance may do so at www.budget-committee.wsu.edu.

President Elson S. Floyd and Provost Warwick M. Bayly, co-chairs of the committee, will lead the forum discussion.

The budget committee is examining all of the university’s operations and helping identify potential actions to take in response to reductions in state funding.

The forums will be available live via videostream at www.experience.wsu.edu and on Cable Channel 8 in the Pullman area.

To avoid over-utilizing campus networks, WSU employees are encouraged to view the presentation at a group viewing location, rather than via a personal web stream delivered to individual computer workstations.

Group viewing location options include:

WSU Spokane: Spokane Academic Center, Room 20, both sessions.
WSU Tri-Cities: West Building, Room 260, noon-1 p.m., and Room 209, 5-6 p.m.
WSU Vancouver: Vancouver Classroom Building, Room 116, noon-1 p.m., and Room 117, 5-6 p.m.
