Director Kessler receives Faculty Service Award

Greg Kessler and Gina Meyers of the Alumni Association.

Greg Kessler, director of the School of Architecture and Construction Management, has worked to recognize the contributions of outstanding WSU alumni. Recently, he received recognition himself for those efforts.
On Feb. 13, Kessler was presented with the WSU Alumni Association Faculty Service Award. It recognizes faculty whose superior service has brought honor or distinction to the university and the association.
Kessler’s work promoting the accomplishments of colleagues through the Alumni Association awards program has resulted in the celebration of accomplished WSU alumni, supporting WSU’s reputation as a world-class institution.
“Kessler has nominated three very deserving alumni for the Alumni Achievement Award,” said Tim Pavish, Alumni Association executive director. “The qualities he seeks to recognize in others are the same ones that he embodies.”
Kessler holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho and a master’s from the University of Southern California, where he focused on urban design.
A member of the WSU faculty since 1987, he has taught design studio courses as well as architectural theory/philosophy. He has been responsible for implementation of the accredited master of architecture program and reformation of the construction management curriculum.
He is a registered architect in Washington and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
