RICHLAND, Wash. The chief executive officer of the Hanford Interpretive Center is the next Women in Leadership speaker at Washington State University Tri-Cities.
Kimberly Camp will speak at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, in the West Building Atrium, 2710 University Drive, Richland. The speaker series highlighting women’s achievements in the professional world is coordinated by students in the WSU Tri-Cities Business Club. Admission is free and open to the public.
Camp is leading the initiative to create a $40 million science and technology center in the Columbia Basin. Before coming to the Tri-Cities, she was president of the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit, was director of The Experimental Gallery of the Smithsonian Institute, and worked for the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
Camp also is an artist in her own right. And she has lectured internationally on the importance of diversity, culture, and various museum topics.
WSU Tri-Cities is located along the Columbia River in Richland, Wash. Established in 1989 with upper division and graduate programs, WSU Tri-Cities offers 17 baccalaureate, 12 master’s, and six doctoral degree programs.
