WSU Tri-Cities Rallies Friday With Apple Cup Tailgate

RICHLAND, Wash. — Students at Washington State University Tri-Cities will show their Cougar Spirit this Friday afternoon at an Apple Cup Tailgate Party, rallying local WSU fans for Saturday’s football game in Pullman vs. the University of Washington.
 
The event starts at 4 p.m. Nov. 21 in the WSU Tri-Cities main parking lot, 2710 University Drive, Richland. To get there, drive north on George Washington Way, pass Hanford High School, then turn right onto Sprout Road.
 
The tailgate party features a barbecue, a student club involvement fair, and a 4:30 p.m. performance by the Elite Cheer & Dance Center.
 
Admission is free and open to the public. The outdoor event is sponsored by the Associated Students of WSU Tri-Cities, the Multicultural Club, and the African American Community Cultural Education Society.
 
WSU Tri-Cities is located along the Columbia River in Richland, Wash. Established in 1989 with upper division and graduate programs, WSU Tri-Cities offers 17 baccalaureate, 12 master’s and six doctoral degree programs. The campus added freshman and sophomore courses in fall 2007 to become a full four-year public university, extending the WSU land-grant mission of providing affordable, accessible higher education.
