Fifth annual pumpkin splat-acular

PULLMAN – The Physics and Astronomy Club will try various inventions to drop pumpkins from the 12th floor of Webster at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8.
 
The pumpkin drop is aimed to recreate Galileo’s Law of Falling Bodies.
 
This is the fifth annual Pumpkin Drop and people can expect not only falling pumpkins but liquid nitrogen dipped pumpkins, candy filled and much more.
 
People can watch the drop from the courtyard between Webster and the Institute of Shock Physics building.
 
After the event, all are welcome to pick up pumpkin pieces for soups or pies.
