PULLMAN — WSU Residence Life Sustainability Committee will present a series of lectures on various aspects of sustainability efforts during the week of Nov. 3 on the WSU campus.
Local area residents are invited to join the free sessions that will take place at 7 p.m. in Todd Auditorium room 276. Each lecture will cover a different topic and discuss putting sustainability concepts into action in a variety of ways.
Research Assistant Kara M. Whitman and Teaching Assistant Chris Pell, of the WSU School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, will present the lecture on Monday, Nov. 3, entitled “Sustainability & WSU – What Is It & How Do We Apply It?”
Steve St. Clair, manager of Wind Assets at Puget Sound Energy, will present the lecture on Wednesday, Nov. 5, entitled “Renewable Energy Sources & Puget Sound Energy’s Efforts.”
Professor Emeritus Ken Hammond, of the Department of Geography and Land Studies at Central Washington University, will present the lecture on Thursday, Nov. 6, entitled “The Sustainability Movement: What’s Necessary & What’s Not.”
Thomas Hammer, founder of Thomas Hammer Coffee, will present the lecture on Friday, Nov. 7, entitled “How & Why Thomas Hammer Coffee Became Sustainable.”
