PULLMAN, Wash. — The Career Expo of the Palouse 2008 will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum.
The Expo is co-sponsored by Washington State University’s Office of Career Services and the University of Idaho’s Office of Career and Professional Planning. It is one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest, bringing more than 100 employers and graduate schools from around the country.
Employers are looking for students from every academic background for internships, summer employment and career opportunities.
Some of the companies participating in the Career Expo include Boeing Company, Buckle, Cintas, College Pro Painters, Federal Way Police Department, Maxim Healthcare, Safeco Insurance, Inland Northwest Broadcasting, and Fisher Investments, along with many more. To meet some of the employers in an informal and fun setting, stop by for a free lunch at the Career Expo Pre-Funk from11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 7. The Pre-Funk will be held in the CUB Ballroom. Games and prizes will serve as entertainment and provide a stress free environment to mingle with employers.
Want to get ahead of the game and be prepared? Drop in at Career Services Open House to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 7 in Lighty 180.
