President posts website on University District

PULLMAN — WSU President Elson S. Floyd and his staff have posted an interactive website regarding the proposed WSU Pullman University District.

The purpose of the site is twofold. First, to provide people with accurate information about the proposed interlocal agreement with the City of Pullman to form a WSU Pullman University District. Second, to give students, faculty, staff and the surrounding community a place to provide feedback to the university on the proposal.

The site includes:

  • an open letter from Floyd describing why the university is proposing the university district, and inviting people to provide feedback
  • a copy of the proposed “Interlocal Agreement for University District Support and Services”
  • an enlargeable map of the proposed university district
  • a form where people can submit questions and comments about the university on the proposal

Meanwhile, the president and his staff will conduct four open forums to gather feedback from all segments of the university and Pullman community regarding the University District proposal. The times, dates and sites of those forums will be announced in the near future.
