myNutrition website developed

PULLMAN – Learning how to eat healthy and making good nutrition a part of daily life can contribute to improved quality of life, a longer life, decreased medical costs, and increased productivity.  Dining Services has developed a new website which will teach the entire campus community how to eat well, stay active, and live fit.
Available online at http://mynutrition.wsu.edu, myNutrition is a comprehensive learning site developed by Dining Services’ Registered Dietitian, Annie Roe.  The site features a wealth of information to improve nutritional and physical well-being.
Nutrition Basics are covered, Avenues to Healthy Living are included, and Weekly Challenges are provided.  Also included are personalized calculators for Body Mass Index, Daily Calorie Needs, Healthy Body Weight, Target Heart Rate, and Physical Activity Assessment.
An important feature available on myNutrition is NetNutrition.
NetNutrition allows users to input their meals and calculate Nutrition Facts Information for Hillside Café, Northside Café, Cougar Fitness Café, Southside Café, and Carlita’s Mexican Grille and Espresso.
Roe said, “There is a real need for good nutritional information, and people are searching for this.  So, I expect to see a good response to the site. I look forward to finding out what nutrition questions are on people’s minds today and making changes to the site in order to provide answers to those questions.”
Visit myNutrition and begin living healthier today!
