Dean’s search committee announced

A search committee for the dean of the College of Communication was announced Sept. 4 by Steven Hoch, provost and executive vice president. 
 
Search committee members include: 
 
  • Fran McSweeney, chair, vice provost for faculty affairs
  • Rick Busselle, associate professor, College of Communication
  • Jolanta Drzewiecka, associate professor, College of Communication
  • Douglas Hindman, associate professor, College of Communication
  • Lisa Hunter, academic coordinator, College of Communication
  • Jeff Joireman, associate professor in marketing, College of Business
  • Bruce Pinkleton, professor, College of Communication
  • Patty Sias, professor, College of Communication
  • Ryan Thomas, graduate student, College of Communication
  • Amy Wharton, director of liberal arts, WSU Vancouver
 
Hoch said he also plans to add a committee member from the College of Communication advisory board. 
 
“I will meet soon with the search committee to start the search process,” said Hoch. “I also am moving forward to secure the services of a search firm to work with the committee. 
 
“Our goal is to identify, recruit and have the new dean in place by July 1, 2009.”
