Recommendations of the Academic Affairs Program Prioritization Task Force will be shared with the WSU community during the next several weeks when implementation strategies can also be released, Provost Robert Bates said this week.
“Sharing the academic program prioritization recommendations needs to be done in the context of how the changes will be implemented, for clarity’s sake,” he said.
Culminating a year-long process involving task forces, hearings and hundreds of pages of data and analysis, the task force recommendations were submitted to the provost April 15. The original timeline called release of recommendations May 5.
Bates is now working with deans, chancellors and other administrative leaders on refining the recommendations and developing implementation strategies.
