University Singers Bring Songs from the Theater to Spring Concert

VANCOUVER, Wash. – The University Singers of Washington State University Vancouver, under the direction of Lee Jennings, will perform a spring concert from 12:10 – 1 p.m., April 16 in the Administration Building, room 110. This event is free and open to the public.

The spring theme is “Songs from the Theater,” and highlights include “This is It” from “Bugs Bunny;” “Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves” by Giuseppe
Verdi; “Mack the Knife” from “The Threepenny Opera;” “Summertime” from “Porgy and Bess;” and “Everybody Rejoice” from “The Wiz.” Judith Weed will be a featured soprano soloist and second pianist. 

The choir is now in its sixth year with 41 singers this semester including 16 WSU Vancouver students, as well as faculty, staff and community volunteers.
