PULLMAN – The School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering Symposium Series and Graduate Seminar will take place March 20, at 11:10 a.m.
The seminar will discuss “Materials, Energy and Climate: Requirements and Strategies for Sustainability in the 21st Century” by Dr. Tomas Diaz De La Rubia, Chemistry, Materials, Earth and Life Sciences Directorate from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Livermore, CA.
“Materials will undoubtedly play a central role in the developments of advanced energy technologies,” Diaz De La Rubia said. “In this talk, I will survey some of the key research challenges associated with the development of new materials tailored to meet the energy challenge.
“The speech will be held in ETRL 101, however refreshments and a meet-and-greet with the speaker is at 10: 30 a.m. in Sloan Hall, room 243.
