PULLMAN The WSU Pullman campus will be closed Friday (Feb. 1) because of continuing safety concerns caused by the wintry weather on campus and in the surrounding area.
On Thursday morning, President Elson S. Floyd announced that the campus would be closed as of 10 a.m. Continued snowfall, with more in the overnight forecast, led to his decision to extend the closure to Friday.
The weather-related closures of the Pullman campus are believed to be the first since 1985.

The closing of campus means that all classes are cancelled and that only those employees designated as essential should report to work.
